Question about investing. Is it better to use an online broker these days and save all that money dealing with a local investment management company. I want to get involved in investing but not sure which way to go. Online trading seems like a good idea with very low cost.

Online trading is the only way to go in my opinion. You do your own research and then pay about 10 bucks a trade. No reason not to do it this way.

I agree that online trading is the way to go. It is much cheaper. You have access to tons of research and finally you make the decision where your money is placed. Win , loose or draw at least your not at the mercy of what some broker or fund manager may need to be buying without regard to the future prospects of the company.
